The AC Cobra, a legendary car
It all began in 1960, when former Le Mans 24 Hours winner Caroll Shelby was forced to end his racing career due to heart problems. He decided to build a car capable of competing with the Ferraris.
He signed an agreement with the Hurlock brothers, owners of the British firm AC Cars, to equip the AC Bristol, the best chassis at the time, with a Ford V8 engine. The result was the AC Cobra 260, which was an immediate success, beating out the Chevrolet Corvettes.
In 1964, Caroll Shelby produced the Daytona, which was less expensive than a Ferrari but more powerful. This new AC Cobra won the GT World Championship in 1965.
Today, the AC Cobra is highly sought-after by collectors. It has an exceptional, timeless design that will give you a unique experience.
